First of all, I figured out that Corpus is a collection of different writers that analyze some specific written or spoken subject, they collect all of that information and store it to analyze the state of a language.
From my point of view, Corpus is a essencial "tool" for language learners to acquire and nurture a second or foreign language, but native speakers can use corpus-based textbooks to nurture their mother tongue, as well.
I absolutely agree on the fact that Corpus is important for us as language teachers to teach and also learn what is "in" now with the language that we are supposed to teach, because we can realize what is important to teach nowadays, intead of teaching words or concepts that were in vogue years ago.
I believe that it would be a good idea to teach frequent words to the students by using different strategies, for instance, playing role games, watching videos, synonyms-based games, among others.
To conclude, I strongly believe that if teachers use Corpus when putting up classes everything would be different, because children don't need to learn things that in daily life they're not going to use, it's such a waste of time that could be spent on learning words, phrases or collocations that could be useful eventually.
